Figure Ground Consulting

Elspeth left her role as a Producer at the BBC over 15 years ago to gain in MA in Voice Studies at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama - where she is now pleased to return to lead masterclasses. With humour and directness she coaxes fit-for-purpose voices out of sometimes reluctant clients.

She is the main voice coach for BBC News - local and national, on TV and radio. Her expertise makes her a sought after commentator on accent and voice, for example on BBC Radio 4s 'Today' programme, 'Front Row' and a variety of national and international stations.

Using a range of practical and purposeful approaches, Elspeth works with business leaders, nationally and internationally, who want to improve their spoken impact, whether in presentations, for podcasts, for interview situations, face-to-face or for making commentary in the media.

Her range of clients include Mars Inc., Novo Nordisk Foundation, Department of Work and Pensions, The Met Office, Oxford University and Amec Foster Wheeler.
